Our team

The Josephine and Jack Project consists of an experienced team of Trustees

and Workshop Facilitators supported by the J&J Social Club

Barbra Robson - Chair of Trustees

I was the Chief Executive of Them Wifies between 2009-2015, Josephine and Jack was a huge part of Wifies work so I am very familiar with the aims and the ethos of the new charity.

I have a diverse range of experience including community regeneration, arts and culture and working with children and young people.

Claire Murphy-Morgan - Trustee


Claire is Artistic Director for Monkfish Productions CIC, and was Arts Manager for Josephine & Jack at Them Wifies from 2006-2015.  Claire's main role as a Trustee is to support the development of a strategic approach in ensuring that the views and aspirations of people with learning disabilities shape current and future project delivery.



Angela Schlenkhoff-Hus - Trustee


Angela is Programme Director for Coalition for Efficiency  as well as Programme Director UK for German  social enterprise Volunteer Vision. She has supported The Josephine and Jack Project as a volunteer since Autumn 2018 and has helped develop a monitoring and evaluation framework. Angela has a background in social research, and her particular interest lies in monitoring and evaluation as well as impact measurement.


Jule Wilson - Trustee


Jule is a chartered communications leader, digital marketer and photographer running her own business, Jule Wilson Communication following 15 years in journalism and PR in a number of different sectors. Her role as a trustee is to support the development of a strategic approach to build and maintain the profile and reputation of The Josephine and Jack Project and help expand its work.


Simon James -  Chief Executive
Simon first started working with Jack at Them Wifies in 2014. He managed the tranisition to the new charity in 2016 and now has

overall responsibility for the strategic development and operational management of the project.



Rachel Robson - Administrator/Project Worker


Rachel joined the Josephine and Jack Project in 2019. She has worked for many years in schools and community settings, as well as developing projects for community groups in the voluntary sector. When she's not working at JJP, Rachel edits at 100% Proof: Proofreading and Editorial and works as a freelance trainer and producer.

Ali Banks - Course Leader


Ali studied art before working as a Health and Social Care Coordinator for Newcastle City Council. She had led courses in health and relationships and nutrition which was when she first met Josephine many years ago. Ali has worked on art projects and exhibitions promoting the work of learning disabled adults amongst many other things and has recently joined the Josephine and Jack team. 


Martine D'Ellard - Course Leader


Martine is a drama facilitator and has worked with Josephine (and occasionally Jack) since 2013, on numerous projects around wellbeing and sexual health. She also works for Sensory Spaces, providing arts activities for disabled children and young people.



Kate Lockhart - Course Leader


Kate trained as an actress and director at Newcastle Performance Academy in 2009 and her first job out of uni was working for Them Wifies. This is when she was first introduced to Josephine. Since then she has worked for many different organisations as actor, director & facilitator and is now very happy working with Josephine again at JJP

Michael Lockhart - Course Leader


Michael started working with Jack at Them Wifies back in 2012. Since then he has delivered sessions with Jack all over the North East and loves meeting the guys involved. He also works as a drama facilitator at the Live Youth Theatre in Newcastle.


Tom Roy - Course Leader


Tom has been working with Jack since 2013. He is involved in joint work with Josephine and Jack delivering workshops in schools and helps to facilitate the J & J Social Club. Tom also works for Body Positive North East delivering HIV awareness training. He was delighted to be awarded Newcastle Sexual Health Worker of the Year 2016 . 



Viv Wiggins - Course Leader


Viv is an actor/drama facilitator and first started working with Josephine at Them Wifies in 2012. Since then she and Josephine have been on some amazing journies together, helping many ladies with advice, confidence and self-esteem.


She is Co-Director of Monkfish Productions and looks forward to seeing what Josephine, Jack and the team achieve on the next phase of their adventure!
