Course leaders

Ali Banks

Ali studied art before working as a Health and Social Care Coordinator for Newcastle City Council. She led courses in health and relationships, and nutrition, which led her to meet Josephine many years ago. Among other things, Ali has worked on art projects and exhibitions promoting the work of learning disabled adults.

Martine D'Ellard

Martine is a drama facilitator and has worked with Josephine (and occasionally Jack) since 2013, on numerous projects around wellbeing and sexual health. She also works for Sensory Spaces, providing arts activities for disabled children and young people.

Lewis Latimer

Lewis recently joined us to work with Jack, which he's really enjoying. Lewis also works for a charity where he supports LGBT+ young people and their families, facilitating peer support and activity groups. He's experienced in planning and delivering training and workshops on gender identity and LGBT+ inclusion for professionals and young people. Lewis studied fine art and photography, and has also facilitated creative workshops exploring identity.

Kate Lockhart

Kate trained as an actress and director at Newcastle Performance Academy in 2009 and her first graduate job was working for Them Wifies, where she was first introduced to Josephine. Since then she has worked for many different organisations as actor, director & facilitator.

Michael Lockhart

Michael started working with Jack at Them Wifies back in 2012. Since then he has delivered sessions with Jack all over the North East and loves meeting the guys involved. He also works as a drama facilitator at the Live Youth Theatre in Newcastle.

Tom Roy

Tom has been working with Jack since 2013. He's involved in joint work with Josephine and Jack, delivering workshops in schools. Tom also works for Body Positive North East delivering HIV awareness training. He was delighted to be awarded Newcastle Sexual Health Worker of the Year 2016.

Viv Wiggins

Viv is a freelance actor and drama facilitator. Her portfolio varies from live theatre, via corporate and medical roleplay, to voice over work and as lead facilitator for The Josephine and Jack Project she's been on some of the most wonderful journeys both personally and professionally, having met and helped some amazing people along the way. Viv is also honoured to sit on the Board of Directors for The Customs House in South Shields and to be an associate artist with Monkfish Productions (CIO).
